Traditional Ariegeois Farmhouse
The owner Dory Dickson has provided the following information about the holiday home.
Laytoure is a traditional Ariegeois farmhouse situated in rolling countryside between Toulouse and the Pyrenees. We have 3 letting bedrooms: 1 double, 1 twin and 1 family suite, all with en-suite shower rooms. Guests have the use of a plunge pool and garden with outdoor furniture.
Larger groups may rent the whole accommodation, which includes a fully-equipped kitchen, on a self-catering basis. In addition we also offer a self-catering apartment suitable for 2 people. Please visit the website for full details. (see contact details above)
Laytoure is set in peaceful countryside near the small village of St Victor Rouzaud. We are 8 km from the town of Pamiers, which offers all amenities. We have three rooms available for bed and breakfast: one double, one twin and one family suite, all with en-suite shower rooms. Guests may use the gardens, loungers, plunge pool and barbecue.
The Ariege is relatively undeveloped regarding tourism, but there are plenty of things to see within 30 - 60 minutes drive: Cathar castles, prehistoric sites and caves, swimming lakes, and interesting and historic market towns and villages. Further afield, an hour and a half takes you into the high Pyrenees, Andorra or the Mediterranean coast.
The owner tells us they are about 1,000 km from Calais. The Spanish ports of Santander and Bilbao are closer at 550 and 450 km respectively. They are to be found just over an hour's drive from the airports of Toulouse and Carcassonne.
